Petro Earns NCAA All-Region Honors

DEFIANCE, OHIO - Senior Joshua Petro (Ocala, Fla./The Villages) was named a member of the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field All-Region team in the weight throw announced Monday afternoon by U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Petro finished the 2018 indoor season with All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honors winning the weight throw for the second consecutive year. He also earned All-Ohio accolades finishing third with a top throw of 17.56 meters. 

He concluded the indoor season ranked 21st in the nation with a season-best throw of 17.85 meters. 

The Yellow Jackets return to action Saturday, March 17 when they open the outdoor portion of their schedule at Rose-Hulman.
