Track and Field: Two Yellow Jackets run at Grand Valley State, Rollins sets a personal best

ALLENDALE CHARTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. - The Defiance College men's and women's track and field teams competed at the GVSU Big Meet hosted by Grand Valley State University Saturday afternoon. 

Just two Yellow Jackets competed in today's meet, Montgomery Rollins and Tawon Cannon.

Rollins placed 45th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.18 seconds and set a personal best in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.14 seconds, earning a 32nd place finish.

Cannon also ran the 200, placing 47th with a time of 23.28 seconds. In the 400, he placed 26th with a mark of 50.50 seconds and he earned a 10th place finish in the 60 meter hurdle with a time of 8.67 seconds. 

Track and Field is off next Saturday and travels to Rose-Hulman on Saturday, February 24 for the HCAC Indoor Championships.
