Defiance performs well at Central State

WILBERFORCE, Ohio - Defiance College track and field posted a third place finish in the men's event and fourth place among the women's teams at Friday's Joshua Culbreath Invite at Central State.

Numerous PRs fell across both sides. Chloe DeBoer posted a 6th-place finish and broke 30 meters in her top discus throw of the year while Zawadi Debola (400m), Adeline Niyonkunda (1500m), and Nerisa Mukwe (100m hurdles) ran personal-best races. Niyonkunda and the 4x400-meter relay team of Mira Horvath, Shelby Clements, Debola and Israa Khamis had podium finishes on the women's side.

For the men, Jesse Brown won his fourth straight high jump as 1.95 meters.  Marcus Snell ran a personal best 100 meters at 11.10 seconds while J'Vontae Barnes did so in the 200 meters.
