DC Men’s Cross Country Competes in Oberlin Invitational

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Defiance College men's cross country team finished 30th at the Oberlin Invitational on Saturday, October 18. The Jackets accumulated 936 points in the meet, dropping times across the board to record an average finish of 30:00.

Justin Perkins continued his impressive freshman campaign, running a personal-best time of 27:14 to finish 138th out of 270 competitors. Matt Rohlf also had a personal-record time, finishing the 8K course in 29:50. Troy Secrest finished third for DC with a time of 30:02, while Ryan Nusbaum (31:20) and Aaron Fraley (31:32) were fourth and fifth respectively.

The Jackets will be back in action on Saturday, November 1, when they compete in the HCAC Championships at 11:00 a.m.
