Women's Bowling competes at WHAC Great Lakes Open

CLINTON TWP, Mich. -- Defiance College women's bowling returned to the lanes after nearly three weeks off and had two entries at the second WHAC event of the season, the Great Lakes Open at Imperial Lanes.

Bowling three members down, Defiance posted an 11th-place finish with team games totalling 925 before a 962 final in Bakers.

Carlee Hohenbrink rolled games of 182, 185 and 158 for a 525 total. Hohenbrink posted a 20th-place finish individually just 36 pins from another top-10 finish.

Ashley Grymonprez got stronger as the day went on with individual games of 116, 124, and 160. Her 400 series was good for 63rd overall in the field 106.

The Yellow Jackets are back on the lanes next weekend with a trip to Beavercreek, Ohio for the Roto Grip Raider Classic hosted by Wright State.
