DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College women's tennis team wrapped up the 2008 season, falling to NCAA Div. II opponent Lake Superior State on Thursday, October 9.
Amanda Auzins, who closed out her collegiate career with today's match, forced a tiebreaker with a 6-2 victory in the second set, before falling 10-4 in the tiebreaker. The Napoleon, Ohio native wraps her time at DC with an impressive 32 victories in No. 1 doubles action. Senior Cindy Toth, who also played the final collegiate tennis match of her career, fell in No. 3 singles action.
The Jackets finish the 2008 campaign 0-16 with a 0-8 mark in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
