Defiance Drops Match to Anderson (Ind.)

DEFIANCE, OHIO – The Defiance College women’s tennis team hosted Anderson (Ind.) University in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match and fell to the Ravens by a score of 9-0.

DEFIANCE, OHIO – The Defiance College women's tennis team hosted Anderson (Ind.) University in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match and fell to the Ravens by a score of 9-0.

Despite the overall loss, Defiance (0-8, 0-6 HCAC) won a total of six games against Anderson (5-3, 3-1 HCAC) for the afternoon.

Junior Nicole Tank (Lincoln Park, Mich. /Roosevelt) led the Yellow Jackets at the third singles spot winning two games. Tank and Savannah Marquez (Porterville, Calif./Porterville) teamed up at the first doubles spot, also winning two games in their doubles match.

The Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday, Oct. 4 when they host Hanover (Ind.) College in a HCAC matchup. The match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
