2012 at Defiance: Competed in the shot put, discus and hammer throw for Defiance during her first year … Set personal marks of 9.24 meters in the shot put, 28.87 meters in the discus and 32.14 meters in the hammer … Scored an eighth-place finish at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships in the discus with a 28.87 meter throw.
High School: Did not compete in track but lettered three years in basketball, as well as two years in volleyball at Van Wert High.
Personal: Daughter of David and Kelly Young … Majoring in social work with a psychology minor.
