DC ranked seventh in Great Lakes Region

NEW ORLEANS – The Defiance College Women’s Track and Field Team are ranked seventh in the Great Lakes Region this week.

NEW ORLEANS – The Defiance College Women's Track and Field Team are ranked seventh in the Great Lakes Region this week.  The Yellow Jackets received the recognition from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association in the first rankings of the season.

Not only did DC receive the honor from the USTFCCCA, it did so in being the only Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference inside the top 10 in the Great Lakes Region.

Within the Great Lakes Region teams, Kali George (East Palestine, Ohio / East Palestine) in the long jump, Samantha Cook (Raiford, Fla. / Bradford County) in the shot put, and Micah Wilson (Mims, Fla. / Astronaut) in the 60-meter dash lead the Yellow Jackets in points scored.
