DC ranked fourth in Great Lakes Region

In the Great Lakes Region the Yellow Jackets are ranked fourth, moving up three spots from a week ago.
There are also several individuals ranked in the top eight in different events for the women in the Great Lakes Region. Colby Heeter (Bloomsburg, Pa. / Bloomsburg), Kali George (East Palestine, Ohio / East Palestine), Kim Bingley (Ottawa, Ohio / Ottawa-Glandorf), Maggie Sarfino (Dayton, Ohio / Kettering Fairmont), and Micah Wilson (Mims, Fla. / Astronaut) all have been placed inside the top eight.
Heeter achieved her top eight in the javelin, where Bingley and George are also ranked. She is eighth in the region with a throw of 33.12 meters.
George is ranked in the top eight in three different events. In the 400-meter dash she posted a time of 59.69 to place her in eighth. She is tied for fourth in the high jump with a height of 1.57 meters. Finally, in javelin, she is ranked seventh with a throw of 34.82 meters.
Being ranked in a ridiculous five different events is Bingley. In the heptathlon and the javelin she is ranked second. She achieved 4,471 points in the heptathlon and threw for a distance of 38.27 meters in the javelin. With a time of 1:06.17 she ranks third in the 400-meter hurdles. She is in sixth in the long jump with a distance of 5.20 meters. Rounding out her five top eight's is the high jump where she cleared a height of 1.53 meters.
Sarfino is ranked inside the top eight in both the triple jump and the heptathlon. She is ranked third in the triple jump where she covered a distance of 11.04 meters. She also ranks seventh in the heptathlon with a score of 3,657.
Freshman sprinter Wilson has a pair of third place rankings in the Great Lakes Region. In the 100-meter dash she has a time of 12.54 to take the third placed spot. She also takes the three spot in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.32.
Heeter, George, Bingley, Sarfino, Wilson, and the rest of DC Track and Field will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Delaware, Ohio for the All-Ohio DIII Outdoor Championships. Start time is set for noon.
