Volleyball Suffers Straight-Set Loss at No. 19 Heidelberg
TIFFIN, Ohio – The Defiance College volleyball team played against a nationally ranked opponent for the fourth time in nine matches this season, as the Jackets headed to Tiffin, Ohio to play No. 19 Heidelberg for the second time in 2010.

TIFFIN, Ohio – The Defiance College volleyball team played against a nationally ranked opponent for the fourth time in nine matches this season, as the Jackets headed to Tiffin, Ohio to play No. 19 Heidelberg for the second time in 2010.
The Berg attack was too much for Defiance once again, as the Jackets fell 25-19, 25-14, 25-19 for their second three-set loss to Heidelberg this season. Defiance posted 27 kills as a team but saw Heidelberg smash 40 kills and post a .352 hitting percentage.
Chelsea Ludeman continued her impressive start by leading Defiance with seven kills in 20 swings, while Julie Brunsman added four kills in seven tries and Sara Porter tacked on five kills to go with 12 digs.
Defiance (2-7) will look to rebound on Friday when it plays Oberlin at 6:00 pm in the opening match of the Wooster Tournament. The Jackets will also play Westminster on Friday at 8:00 pm, before taking on Capital and Wooster and Saturday.
