2007 at Defiance: Had an immediate and major impact for DC during rookie season in all aspects of the game … Led squad in batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, hits, runs scored, home runs, RBI’s and total bases … Ranked eighth in HCAC with .378 average … Tallied 12 multi-hit games … Drove in at least one run in 16 games … Proved to be one of toughest outs in the league, striking out only six times in 119 at bats … Also served as DC’s closer … Earned four saves for third-best single-season total in Defiance history … Named HCAC Freshman of the Year.
