Defiance matches two program bests at Red Wolf Fall Invitational
RICHMOND, Ind. - Defiance College men's golf opened its 2025 season by matching the program's 36-hole scoring record with a 594 overall at the Red Wolf Fall Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The team finished fifth of nine teams competing at Highland Lakes Golf Course over the weekend.
After carding a 302 on Friday – the 10th-best round in program history – the Yellow Jackets sat sixth after day one. Defiance climbed in the standings Saturday with a 292, matching the program's best single-round score.
Sophomore Jordan Walford and freshman Colten Shroeder topped the Yellow Jackets each with a three over par 147, tying them for 15th place. Sophomore Zack Palmer followed closely behind five over par 149 for 18th. To finish out the first-team results, sophomore Sam Theissler came in 22nd with a seven over par 151.
DC's B Team landed in eighth of nine as it shot a 624 overall.
