DC Wins Over Previously Undefeated Wooster
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The DC men’s soccer team handed Wooster their first loss of the season with a 4-1 decision on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets played efficiently, recording four goals on only 12 shots.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The DC men's soccer team handed Wooster their first loss of the season with a 4-1 decision on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets played efficiently, recording four goals on only 12 shots.
David Crumley got Defiance on the board first as he found the net from the top of the box just four minutes into the game. Jacob Heiliger scored off a Chris Kessler assist nine minutes later, and the Jackets took a 2-0 lead into halftime.
Chris Kessler put in his second goal of the season on a Greg Vogt assist to give the Jackets a 3-0 lead 20 minutes into the second stanza. The Fighting Scots cut the deficit to 3-1 with a goal from Scott Buckwald with 15 minutes to play, but Chris Chabowski put the game out of reach one minute later with a shot off the right goal post that gave the Jackets a 4-1 lead.
The team improved to 2-1 with the win, and will travel to Angola, Ind., on September 15, for their match against Trine University.
