Lubich joins men’s soccer staff
The Defiance College men’s soccer program has announced the hiring of Josh Lubich an assistant coach.
DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Defiance College men's soccer program has announced the hiring of Josh Lubich an assistant coach under Head Coach Cory Bucur.
Lubich brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Defiance staff. He has served as an assistant coach for the Howland High School boys soccer team since 2019. In 2020, Lubich helped guide Howland to a Division II state championship after finishing as state runner-up in 2019. He has also coached with FC Evolution since 2018 serving as the head coach for multiple age groups. Lubich also spent a year as a graduate assistant for the Elmira College women's soccer team and holds a National "F" Coaching License.
Lubich graduated from Hiram College in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Management after a four-year career with the Terriers. In his collegiate career, Lubich appeared in 66 games, making 25 starts and scoring a pair of goals. Lubich served as team captain his senior year at Hiram.
