LIVONIA, Mich. – In a road test against the 20th-ranked Madonna Crusaders, the Defiance Yellow Jackets were defeated 7-1 during WHAC men's soccer play on Wednesday.
Madonna got on the board early with the help of a penalty kick by Ryushin Hirami, his first of two scores on the day. They took a 2-0 advantage in the 23rd minute on Keigo Yoshida's goal.
Henrique Wozniak netted his second goal of conference play during the 29th minute to brind DC within one, but the Crusaders got that one back just before the halftime break.
During the second half, Madonna found the net four times with Jordy Lopez scoring twice and Hirami and Yoshida getting their second goals as well.
