DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. - Defiance College posted its first conference win of the year in men's soccer with a 2-1 victory at Michigan-Dearborn on Saturday, snapping a five-game losing streak.
The Yellow Jackets (2-9-1, 1-4 WHAC) were lifted by an early goal from Kendahl Stanley in the ninth minute of the contest. The Wolverines (1-7-1, 0-5 WHAC) posted the equalizer in the 17th minute, but DC's Griffin Meyer netted what turned into the game-winner just a minute later.
As both sides played to a scoreless tie in the second half, the Yellow Jackets endured 19 shots on goal by UM-Dearborn as Jacob Goldberry made 11 saves in DC's net. Defiance mustered just five shots in the match with four on goal.
