Defiance Men's Track & Field Competes at the Northwest Open

FINDLAY, OHIO - The Defiance College men's track and field team competed at the Northwest Ohio meet on Saturday evening hosted by the University of Findlay.

Defiance was led on the day by senior Javier Castillo with a fifth place finish in the shot put with a toss of 14.64 meters and a sixth place finish in the weight throw with a pitch of 16.50 meters.

In the high jump, sophomore Vince Jackson registered a fifth place finish with a jump of 1.83 meters.

The track and field team returns to action on Saturday, January 19 as they compete at the Tiffin Dragon Open.
