Gow Grabs HCAC Weekly Honors
GREENWOOD, Ind. – DC’s Brittany Gow posted her second complete-game shutout of the season on Saturday, March 27. For her efforts, Gow has been honored as the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for March 22-28.
GREENWOOD, Ind. – DC's Brittany Gow posted her second complete-game shutout of the season on Saturday, March 27. For her efforts, Gow has been honored as the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for March 22-28.
The sophomore slinger held the Ravens to no runs on three hits in seven innings pitched in DC's 3-0 victory over Anderson on Saturday. For the week, Gow allowed nine hits and four earned runs in 11 innings pitched on her way to a 1-1 record.
Gow currently leads the Yellow Jackets' staff with a 4-2 record and a 3.82 earned run average in seven appearances this season. The Wellington, Ohio, native has been a force for Defiance on offense as well, with ten hits and 13 RBI in 40 at bats.
Gow and the Yellow Jackets return to action on Tuesday, March 30, when they host the Beavers of Bluffton University in a doubleheader beginning at 3:30 p.m.
