DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College announced on Friday that it had hired Jessica Cox as the 12th head coach in the history of the Yellow Jacket women’s basketball program. Cox will begin her post with the Purple and Gold on May 14.
GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its winter honorees for the Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC Team, with Defiance putting 14 student-athletes on the list. The 14 award winners gave the Yellow Jackets the third-highest total in the league.
GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has recognized three Yellow Jackets for their play during the 2011-2012 season. Erica King and Kim Comden were named All-HCAC while Brooke Zachrich was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Defiance College women’s basketball team fell on the road at Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opponent Rose-Hulman, 60-33, on Saturday. Sophomore Erica King led DC with 19 points.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College women’s basketball team used 19 points from Erica King and 16 points from Hannah Harshman to roll to a 70-57 victory over Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opponent Earlham College.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Defiance College women’s basketball team dropped a hard-fought Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference game on the road against Transylvania, 69-66. Junior Kim Comden paced Defiance with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – Sophomore Erica King poured in 18 points on five-of-nine shooting to help the Defiance College women’s basketball team to a 62-54 victory over Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opponent Anderson University. The Jackets improve to 6-5 in the HCAC with the win.

RICHMOND, Ind. – Freshman Megan Zachrich scored a career-best 19 points and added five rebounds to lead the Defiance College women’s basketball team to an 81-73 victory over Earlham. Sophomore Erica King and Hannah Harshman also reached double digits in the win.
CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Defiance College women’s basketball team used big games from Kim Comden and Erica King to pick up a road win against Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Mount St. Joseph, 69-56. The win keeps Defiance in fourth place in the conference.
