Jackets compete in Lourdes Women's Spring Invite
OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. - Defiance College women's golf returned to the course on Friday for single-round tournament held by Lourdes University at The Legacy Golf Course.
Defiance closed the day with a team round of 391 and finished ninth out of 12 teams and 7th of 9 WHAC schools competing. Division III Albion took the team title at 336 while Division II Davenport finished second at 342 for the day.
Magen Hines was the team's top finisher with a round of 91, one stroke ahead of Madison Gray's 92. Hines fnished with a team-high 6 pars on the day. Olivia Splete also closed with a 95 with a strong performance of 42 on the front-9. Individual medalist for the tournament was Lawrence Tech's Cadance Beuckelare, who shot 74 and beat Michigan-Dearborn's Megan Rogers by 3 strokes.
