DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College women's soccer team suffered a 7-1 loss this afternoon to Franklin College at the Winsper-Knobel Memorial Field, dropping them to 0-1 in conference action.
Defiance (1-8, 0-1 HCAC) was able to get off only four shots before Franklin (5-3, 1-0 HCAC) opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, taking a 1-0 lead over the Yellow Jackets in the first half. DC was held to just six shots in the first 45 minutes but was able to keep the Grizzlies to nine shots.

Madi Bowman made nine saves while allowing four goals in net for Defiance. Rachel Lowell relieved Bowman in the 80th minute, making three saves with three allowed goals.
