HCAC announces fall 2021 women's soccer preseason poll

CARMEL, Ind. - The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its preseason women's soccer coaches poll on Thursday morning with Defiance finishing tenth.

The Yellow Jackets, led by head coach B.J. Pheasant finished with 14 points in the poll, three points behind ninth-place Manchester University. Hanover College placed first with 80 points followed by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology 71 points and two first-place votes. Mount St. Joseph University (63), Transylvania University (63), and Anderson University (50) rounded out the top five.

Defiance will open the 2021 fall season on the road against Andrews University on September 1 at 5:30 p.m.
