Micah Wilson named HCAC Track Athlete of the Week

Greenwood, Ind. - Freshman Micah Wilson (Mims, Fla. / Astronaut) picked up DC's first Track Athlete of the Week this season after being named the HCAC's top women's track athlete.

Wilson broke a new school record in the 60-meter dash Saturday at the Defiance College Invitational.  The freshman earned the new record in the 60-meter dash with a HCAC-best time of 8.10 seconds, breaking her own record in which she set at the first meet of the indoor season.

Wilson was also on the 800-meter relay team that finished second with a time of 1:49.10, also breaking a DC record that had stood since 2001.  The Yellow Jackets placed second among six schools at the Defiance College Invitational.

Wilson and the rest of the Track and Field teams will return to action Saturday at the Taylor Invitational.
