Defiance loses in five sets at Lawrence Tech
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - For the second day in a row, the Defiance Yellow Jackets held a 2-1 lead but lost in five sets with Saturday's loss (23-25, 30-28, 25-23, 21-25, 5-15) to the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils.
The Blue Devils (17-6, 10-5 WHAC) avenged a loss from earlier in the season when the Yellow Jackets (14-13, 7-8 WHAC) took down LTU in five sets last month.
The first four sets were as close as could be with Lawrence Tech's comeback to fourth to win by four was the largest margin prior to rolling in the fifth to win by 10. The numbers were also even through each set outside the final set. In the fifth, Lawrence Tech was efficient hitting the ball with four kills, three blocks and four aces coupled with five Defiance attacking errors to win the race to 15.
