The Defiance College men's soccer program has announced that their Summer ID Camp will take place on June 26th at Justin F. Coressel Stadium.
Defiance senior captains Bennett Pack and Nick Stifel have been named All-HCAC. Pack earned a spot on the Second Team while Stifel earned an Honorable Mention nod.
The Defiance College men’s soccer team battled both the rain and the Mount St. Joseph University Lions in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference fifth-place match on Thursday afternoon. After 110 minutes of scoreless play, the teams entered a penalty shootout to determine the final HCAC standings with the Yellow Jackets winning 3-1.
With a goal and an assist in the Defiance men’s soccer 2-0 victory over the Earlham Quakers, senior Jarren Casto broke the school record for career points. Casto passes the mark of 46 points set by Nick Kleptz who suited up for the Yellow Jackets from 2014-17. Casto currently is second all-time in assists with 13 and tied for fourth in goals with 17.
Despite two second-half goals the Defiance College men’s soccer team saw their comeback fall short on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Transylvania University Pioneers 3-2.
The Defiance College men’s soccer team snapped a four-game skid on Wednesday evening by taming the Mount St. Joseph Lions for a Heartland Colligate Athletic Conference victory. In just his second career start, sophomore goalkeeper Austin Boles recorded a nine-save shutout to help give the Yellow Jackets the win.

The Defiance College men’s soccer team traveled to Hanover, Ind. on Sunday afternoon for a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference against the Hanover Panthers. Unfortunately, the Yellow Jackets were defeated by the Panthers by a score of 3-0
A late goal in double overtime gave Manchester University the edge over the Defiance College men’s soccer team on Wednesday evening. The loss is the first for the Yellow Jackets on the season. Noah Svanberg and Jarren Casto each notched goals for the Yellow Jackets
Two games, two shutouts. The Defiance College men’s soccer team recorded their second shutout of the week on Saturday afternoon blanking Franklin by a score of 2-0. Seniors Jarren Casto and Maxwell Alvarado scored for the Yellow Jackets. Sophomore Austin Boles made his first career start and recorded a save to register his first career shutout.
The Defiance College men’s soccer team took the field for the first time since November 2, 2019, on Tuesday afternoon, defeating rival Bluffton in double-overtime on a goal scored by senior Jarren Casto.
The Defiance College men’s soccer team, who was picked sixth in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference preseason poll, will host Bluffton on Tuesday, March 2 at 3:30 pm to open the 2020-21 season. The team, led by second-year head coach Cory Bucur, went 9-9-2 last season and 4-4-1 in HCAC play.
The Defiance College men’s soccer team placed sixth in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference preseason poll as announced by the league office on Wednesday morning. Seniors Bennett Pack and Christian Rennie were named Players to Watch along with sophomores Orry Killam and Noah Svanberg.
