The Coach to Cure MD program is designed to raise money to battle Duchenne muscular dystrophy and has brought in over one million dollars over the previous five years. Donations go to research projects supported by Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy.
Defiance coaches will be wearing a Coach to Cure MD logo patch on the sidelines of Saturday's contest and fans will be asked to donate to Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy. Last year, more than 10,000 coaches at 580 different institutions joined in the event.
