DC's Neal Ends Second at OSU-Marion Invitational

MARION, Ohio – The Defiance College men's golf team turned in its finest outing of the spring season on Saturday, taking fourth in the 11-team OSU-Marion Spring Invitational behind a second-place showing from Jace Neal in the individual standings. 

The Yellow Jackets shot a 337 as a team for their second-lowest single-round score of the 2010 spring season. The fourth place team finish was the best for the squad this season and put Defiance just eight strokes back of Akron Wayne College for the top score. 

Neal carded a 78 to lead the way for Defiance with a second-place showing, while Alex Goecke fired an 84 and Brian Jones ended with an 86. 

Defiance will be back in action on April 10 and 11, when it hosts the DC Spring Invitational at Kettenring Country Club. The start time for Saturday and Sunday will be 10:00 am on each day.
