NORTH MANCHESTER, IND. - The Defiance College men's soccer team drew 1-1 with Manchester University on Saturday at Good Field. This marks the first tie for the Yellow Jacket's program since October 2023.
Diego Suarez put the Yellow Jackets on the board in the 33rd minute off an assist from Nicholas Soliz, both freshman out of La Paz, Bolivia. Defiance carried the 1-0 lead into halftime after holding the Spartans to just two shots on goal in the opening period.
Manchester struck back quickly after the break, finding the net in the 46th minute to even the score. Neither side could break through in the remaining time despite trading chances, with Defiance tallying eight shots and Manchester recording 17.
